Aloha, my name is Chef Jordan Vernola, and I’m proud to be born and raised on the island of Kaua‘i.
our story
My culinary journey began at 18, where I discovered a deep passion for cooking in the heart of the kitchen. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in refining my craft and falling in love with the art of bringing people together through food.
Guided by the creativity and mentorship of esteemed Kaua‘i chefs, I spent years developing my culinary identity. In 2018, at age 23, I founded Kaua‘i CUT Catering, a private chef business rooted in community, sustainability, & elevated island sourced flavor.
At Kaua‘i CUT Catering, we offer more than just a meal. We deliver intimate, island-style, farm-to-table experiences. With close ties to local farmers and fishermen, each ingredient is thoughtfully sourced and seasonally inspired, bringing the true essence of Kaua‘i to the table.

"Jordan prepared an absolutely exceptional meal for our family dinner of 16 people. She was so flexible in catering to our dietary needs, and creating the exact vibe of a dinner (casual, family style, with delicious food) that we wanted (no other chef on the island that we spoke to would do this! Everyone insisted on a coursed, plated meal, which was not what we were going for in terms of the feel of our family dinner). There was more than enough food and her pricing was very fair. We are big foodies from NYC, so pretty particular about the quality and tastiness of food, and she absolutely delivered. It also looked beautiful! She even fresh baked the bread for the crostinis herself! She went above and beyond with the design of the menu, her prep of the food, and making a warm environment for our dinner. Couldn’t recommend her more!!!"

"We traveled to Kauai for my parents' 50th anniversary, 14 of us total. Jordan helped me plan a menu and executed the best meal of our 7 night stay for us, served in a casual buffet style at the house we rented. We're still talking about the wagyu rib eye, mac crusted ono and butter mochi meal she made. It was so good my mom wanted to know if we could get her back later in the week (spoiler, we couldn't -- book ahead of time with confidence)! Add to that that she is a DREAM and so very lovely to work with and be around. I couldn't glow about our experience with Kauai Cut Catering more. <3"

"The most beautiful dinner I’ve ever had. Chef Jordan makes immaculate food and performs with the professionalism of a five star restaurant. I requested her to prepare the dinner for my wedding, a party of nine total. She worked intricately with me for months before the event to make sure everything was perfect. Her cooking is creative and perfectly curated for any occasion (just look at her fantastic sample menus!). The night went off without a hitch and the 5 course meal was a thing of culinary dreams. Timing, plating, explanation, experience and taste was WONDERFUL. I recommend her and her company to anyone looking for an intimate fine dining event or a carefully thought out yet casual meal. "This is the third year that we have had the pleasure of having Chef Jordan cook for us. She is a delight and her dinners are delicious. Intimidate dinners for two are served plated. For larger groups, dinner is presented family style. Chef Jordan pays attention to detail so her setups are lovely and her dishes presented beautifully. I am a big fan of the Ahi Poke on wonton chips, Panko sesame crusted Ahi and truffled cauliflower. The Lilikoi cheesecake is out of this world. Nothing has disappointed in the 3 dinners we have had. An evening with Chef Jordan is the highlight of our vacation. I look forward to another of her wonderful dinners next year when we return."

I told Jordon what I wanted and she came up with a menu in my price point. on that day, the food was incredible! My guests were so happy on beautiful food and something that was different than the usual brunch food. It was such a relief to have Kauai Cut Catering take over the food so I could just relax. Jordon and her team came to set up everything, and then came back after the event and took everything. I didn’t have to shop or do dishes! It was such a success, I will definitely be reaching out to Jordon at Kauai Cut Catering for my next event."

The meal they prepared in our rental home for my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary celebration was exquisite. They went above and beyond to make the entire evening feel special. From the beautiful table setting to the delicious food, no detail was overlooked. Jordan's food is nuanced and thoughtful, seamlessly combining Hawaiian and Asian flavors with other influences. She and Noa are incredibly talented and also left our kitchen spotless. The second meal they prepared was equally wonderful. We also requested a prepared dinner that we could reheat on Thanksgiving Day. It was the perfect way to enjoy an stress-free holiday on Kauai. "Over the top dinner party for 12 guests celebrating our daughter’s wedding! Without hesitations we give Jordan and team our highest recommendation and rating. The farm to table appetizers, grilled peach salad, Wagyu steaks, tuna and desserts were delicious and beautifully served. Chef Jordan and team thought of every detail and provided first class service, preparation and clean up. We truly couldn’t have imagined a better outcome. Eveyone kept talking about the delicious well prepared food for the remainder of our stay. Jordan will work out the details and help with all preparation. She made it easy for us. The team set up while we were at the wedding. We communicated via text and email for several months. The restaurants on the island were all very nice. However, the lovely food prepared by chef Jordan is superior. If you enjoy fresh food, fine dining(casual too) and happy people - choose chef Jordan!"
